Daphne Lavina, RCIC
I've been an immigration practitioner for over 20 years now. I’m a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC Member #R422615) and the CAPIC (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants). I'm also licensed under the Saskatchewan Foreign Worker Recruitment and Immigration Services Act (FWRISA). I experienced first-hand (twice, actually) the whole immigration process. In 2016, I received the Outstanding Entrepreneur award from Estevan, Saskatchewan's Women of Today Awards.
I used to be where you are...
I grew up in Mindanao. As a child, my biggest dream was "to go abroad".
I was taught to dream big and I was told to finish my studies. That's it!
It was hard for me to imagine how I can go from where I was to where I am now.
I came from humble beginnings and it was overwhelming to think about everything I needed to do to make my immigration dream come true.
There was a point when I was about to give up my dream of living and working abroad. I had a promising career, I was earning a good income - I was living a very comfortable life.
But by the time I had my 2nd child, I realized that there's more to life than just having a job and money. I started thinking about safety, security, education and my children's future.
So I rekindled the fire of my desire to immigrate. And I'm glad I did...
I am where I am now because I had help. I was coached on how to successfully immigrate to Canada. I learned that there's more to immigrating than just filling out forms and submitting your application.
I chose to practice this profession to pass on what I've learned from my mentor, my own experience and my clients' experience. I've made it my mission to help bring savvy immigrants to Canada.
Rosette Ramos, RCIC
“Dream big and exert all efforts to achieve it.” This is my motto. I had always been focused and I make sure that all the things I do every day contribute towards my dreams. Of course, there had been many hurdles along the way, but staying positive helped me get where I am right now. While I was still in the Philippines, I never imagined being able to live in any other country – more so Canada. Things changed when I was encouraged by a friend to apply to immigrate to Canada. I didn’t have help in immigration processing back then; hence, it had been extremely difficult for me to navigate the process. I had to work on my qualifications, and I did this for about five years. Then, I waited for the approval of our Canadian permanent residency for at least another five years. When it finally came, my husband and I are overjoyed as finally, after almost a decade of waiting, we were able to bring our family to Canada and start a new life. Prior to migrating, we were already established in the Philippines; I had a reputable job and my husband’s business was doing well. Despite this, moving to Canada was an easy decision as we knew that there are much greener pastures and a brighter future that awaits us, especially our children. With perseverance and with God’s guidance, life in Canada has been really good. Canada rewarded our hard work and provided us good quality of life – the best we can hope for. I know that at my early age, I already secured my family’s future not just financially but most importantly in the quality of life and in the opportunities that are open to them. Now, I am in the position to help others who wants to make Canada their new home as well. I am confident that my educational background and my over seven years of practice as an immigration consultant, I have solid theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in Canadian immigration system. In fact, my company had already helped hundreds of families. Consider yourselves lucky as now you have access to licensed immigration consultants, which we did not have before. I will teach and guide you on how to materialize your dream of coming to Canada because I know that if you entrust us with your dream, you are entrusting us with your future. Let’s start discovering your personal roadmap to working, studying or migrating to Canada. See you in the Canadian Immigration Symposium - Philippines 2019!
